Itinerary
We’ll pick you up from your hotel and head to our retreat center in the Sacred Valley. After some time to explore, we’ll meet the Andean and Amazonian Maestros from Q’eros and Pucallpa for our first gathering. The day will include a special Coca Leaf reading ceremony to prepare you for the Ayahuasca ceremony later.
In the afternoon, you will take part in a gentle yoga session to reconnect with your body and mind, followed by a cleansing ceremony to release negative energy or spiritual blockages that may be affecting your well-being or spiritual growth. We’ll meditate briefly and then begin. The Ayahuasca session will last 4 to 6 hours. Our dedicated team of professionals will provide attentive care and expert guidance throughout the entire ceremony, ensuring your comfort and well-being. You can trust that you will be in capable hands. Afterwards, you can rest and recover.
After a delicious breakfast, we will gather for a group meeting followed by individual sessions with our shaman to reflect on the visions and experiences from the Ayahuasca ceremony. Sharing as a group is an important part of the process, but we also honor everyone’s need for personal space.
Later in the day, we will have a unique Ayahuasca learning session guided by our shaman – but without taking the Ayahuasca medicine! This session will focus on learning about the plant, deepening our connection to its energy through teachings and reflection.
We will also take part in another flourishing cleansing ceremony. After lunch and some free time, you can relax and enjoy a soothing sound healing session led by our professional sound healer. With the melodies and vibrations of Andean instruments, we will connect more deeply with our bodies and inner selves. The rest of the day is yours to relax, reflect, and unwind. After dinner, you can rest and recharge at your own pace.
On this day, we will head out to explore more of the Sacred Valley! Our journey takes us to the local community of Socma, where we will start our beautiful hike to the stunning Perolniyoq waterfall, accompanied by our Andean Q’eros shaman. At the waterfall, we will pause for a special connection ceremony and mindful moment. From there, we will continue hiking for about an hour to an ancient Inca site perched above the waterfall. This scenic hike offers breathtaking views of the waterfall and the surrounding landscape. Afterward, we will return to Socma for a delicious local lunch prepared by the community before driving back to the retreat center.
The rest of the day is yours to relax. If you like, we can hold a group meeting to reflect and share our thoughts. After dinner, you are free to rest.
After a light breakfast, we will begin the day with an Andean teaching class led by our shaman, who will share deeper insights into Andean spirituality and traditions. This will help us prepare emotionally and spiritually for tonight’s Ayahuasca session. In the afternoon, we will have another yoga session paired with mindful meditation to center ourselves and prepare for the evening ceremony. At night, we will take the Ayahuasca medicine again in a sacred ceremony that lasts approximately 4 hours.
Today, we’ll have a pleasant breakfast before our final meeting with the Maestro. This integration ceremony will allow us to discuss the previous ceremony and receive interpretations. Afterwards, we’ll participate in a ceremonial offering to Mother Earth, led by the Qero Master. This ceremony serves as a gesture of gratitude for the transformative experiences of the retreat and the ceremonies. Finally, we’ll return to Cusco.

FAQ about Ayahuasca
Ayahuasca is a traditional Amazonian brew celebrated for its profound healing properties. Crafted from the Psychotria viridis plant and the Banisteriopsis caapi vine, it has been a centerpiece in indigenous rituals for ages. In guided ceremonies, Ayahuasca is believed to open pathways to self-discovery, offering insights and emotional healing. Its growing popularity in organized retreats reflects a quest for personal growth and therapeutic benefits.
Being part of an Ayahuasca ceremony is like taking a special journey within yourself. It’s a time for strong visions and deep thinking, and everyone’s experience is different—some find clarity, others face personal challenges, and many feel a stronger connection to their spirituality.
Your well-being is really important to us, and we have a dedicated medical team to make sure you’re taken care of. The experience gets even more special with the traditional music, icaros, played by Amazonian shamans.
We also include Andean ceremonies like reading coca leaves and expressing gratitude to create a caring and special space for your spiritual journey. Our aim is to help you grow personally and find healing in a supportive and sacred environment.
Yes. Ayahuasca is safe when experienced facilitators, like ours, guide the journey, ensuring it’s secure and transformative. If you have specific health concerns, our detailed medical form helps us customize the experience just for you.
Your well-being is crucial to us, and our on-site medical team is ready to handle any concerns and prioritize your safety during the ceremony. Your safety is not just important; it’s a core part of our promise to make your transformative experience the best it can be.
Absolutely, if you have medical conditions like heart issues or psychiatric disorders, it’s important to be cautious. Some medications might not mix well with Ayahuasca. That’s why we ask everyone to fill out our medical form. We’ll make sure to clear up any doubts or questions before you decide to join—no need to stress! Just reach out to us, and we’ll be glad to help, along with our medical team.
It’s really important to be in Cusco at least three days before the retreat begins. This gives your body time to adjust to the high altitude. If you arrive on the day of the retreat, unfortunately, you won’t be able to join the Ayahuasca ceremony. Safety is our top priority, and arriving on the same day as the retreat could increase the risk of altitude sickness, especially when combined with Ayahuasca.
Your well-being is a priority, so it’s a good idea to ensure you’re in good health. We suggest talking to your doctor if you have any concerns about your medical history or conditions. Also, please let us know about any health conditions or medications before you book.
The food guidelines are in place to ensure your body and mind are prepared for the Ayahuasca experience, making it safe and meaningful for you. Two weeks before the retreat, avoid pork, alcohol, cannabis, drugs, and spicy foods. Also, refrain from taking any prescribed medicines or drugs during this time, as Ayahuasca is potent and can interact differently with other substances.
One week before the retreat, it’s recommended to steer clear of red meat, junk food, sweets, soda, dairy, pickled foods, and caffeine. Just before the retreat, eat well without extreme dieting, staying in good shape and feeling good. In the last three days, consider reducing salt, pepper, and oil intake.
Opt for organic food with a touch of salt and sugar, and if you desire meat, choose chicken or fish.
The first Ayahuasca ceremony is scheduled for the evening, so it’s advised to enjoy a light breakfast adhering to the diet restrictions before we pick you up. Stay hydrated throughout the day with water and tea, but it’s advisable to avoid consuming anything else. This preparation ensures you’re well-prepared for a positive and enriching experience!
To enrich your spiritual preparation, we encourage you to set a clear intention. The Ayahuasca ceremony can be intense, and having a specific purpose acts as a guiding force, keeping you connected to your goals. Take time to reflect on why you are drawn to Ayahuasca. What do you hope to learn or understand? Consider your current life situation and challenges. Crafting intentions based on these reflections can add personal depth to your experience.
Nurturing your spirit and mind involves engaging in practices that deepen your connection with your inner self. Participate in mindful activities that promote awareness and presence before the retreat begins.
Additionally, some shamans recommend refraining from sexual activities, including masturbation. This practice is believed to help conserve physical energy, making it easier to navigate the effects of Ayahuasca during the ceremony.
The purge, which may involve vomiting or diarrhea, is seen in some traditions as a purifying process, releasing physical and emotional toxins. It’s regarded as a natural and sometimes necessary part of the Ayahuasca experience.
Ayahuasca is not known to be physically addictive. In fact, many participants report reduced cravings for substances like alcohol or tobacco after an Ayahuasca experience. However, it is crucial to approach it with respect and responsibility.
Yes, Ayahuasca is legal in Peru. It is recognized as cultural heritage and respected as traditional medicine.
